Various funeral options can suit your family’s preferences. Each funeral has certain basic expenses. Additional items and services determine the rest—you and your family will decide.

All or some funeral costs may be covered by forthcoming life insurance benefits. Any death benefits (when applicable) from Social Security, the Veterans Administration, fraternal groups, and others could provide further support.

The deceased may have also pre-arranged some of the expenses.
